FAQs

Mathura is the birthplace of Lord Krishna — one of the most sacred cities in Hinduism. Vrindavan, 15 km away, is where Krishna spent his childhood. The twin cities have over 5,000 temples and attract millions of pilgrims annually, especially during Janmashtami and Holi.
Modest traditional Indian dress is required — kurta-pyjama or dhoti for men, salwar kameez or saree for women. Shorts, sleeveless tops, and Western wear are not appropriate. Shoes must be removed before entering all temples. Leather items are prohibited inside temple premises.
Accommodation, AC transportation, meals as per itinerary, tour guide, and all listed sightseeing including temple visits and Ganga Aarti. Donation boxes at temples and prasad purchases are personal expenses.

Holi in Mathura and Vrindavan (March) is a once-in-a-lifetime experience — celebrations begin a week before the main Holi day with Lathmar Holi in Nandgaon and Barsana. Book at least 2–3 months in advance as accommodation fills up very quickly.
Most temples in Mathura and Vrindavan welcome all visitors regardless of religion. However, the inner sanctum of some temples (especially ISKCON and Banke Bihari) may have specific visiting hours and guidelines. Our guide will brief you before each temple visit.
